Southern Protocal

I got a peek this morning at a stunning and brand new bridal boutique in Charleston – Southern Protocal.  Located at 164 Market Street in Downtown Charleston, this gorgeous space is your one-stop luxurious stop for all things wedding related, including the planning of the event itself.  From gowns and jewelry to cocktail napkins, their curated collection of unique items for the Charleston (& beyond) bride is unparalleled.  I am thrilled to be partnering with them to host an event and their beautiful new space on Thursday, February 26th.  Details to come soon.  In the meantime, here’s a little peek inside…

It’s Wedding Season

In Charleston it sure is wedding season. June seems to be the peak of wedding mania, and with our city being the epicenter of destination weddings, everywhere you turn you see a bride snapping photos with her wedding party on a picturesque street. Coincidentally, I just wrapped a bridal photo shoot last week, featuring our Rose Gold Charleston Rice Beads.  Here’s a sneak peek… our Charleston Rice Beads make fabulous bridal party gifts and are just perfect for a Charleston destination wedding:

Paige Winn did a wonderful job shooting our “wedding party” and I had a great team of hair (Bailey Bial) and make-up (Amanda Rose), flowers from Flower Shop and the gorgeous dresses were designed and handmade by Charleston-based Evelyn’s Alterations & Design.  Evelyn has been doing my own vintage alterations for years and we recently moved into a shared space together in Downtown Charleston – and it has pretty much been a match made in vintage heaven!

And, I was excited to find out that our Gold Charleston Rice Beads from SWOON in Charleston are also featured in this season’s issue of Charleston Weddings, currently on stands as well as on their website. Lovely styling by Ayoka Lucas:

It’s been a little while since my own wedding (7 1/2) years to be exact, but all this bridal business is making me want to go back and plan it all over again!

Candy Shop Vintage + LulaKate

We are excited to be partnering with LulaKate at their King Street store in Charleston to style a runway show showcasing their Spring/Summer Collection along with some of our Candy Shop Collection jewelry and select one-of-a-kind vintage pieces.  The event will be from 5:30-8:30 on Thursday, February 6th. Cocktails will be served at 5:30 followed by a runway show at 6:30PM and shopping after the show. Music by JAZ, our resident DJ. Space is limited and invite only, so contact us if you’d like to be added to the guest list!

One-of-a-Kind Charleston Brides

Charleston has always been an incredible place to get married, but in recent years, it has become THE wedding destination of choice, even for Charleston girls! We love selling to brides, especially our one-of-a-kind vintage – it means a lot to know we’ve contributed to such a special day. Check out these two fabulous Charleston Brides in some of our vintage jewels. Ginny had a beautiful wedding at Boone Hall Plantation wearing one of our delicate, vintage 1940’s rhinestone bracelets (photos by Juliet Elizabeth Photography):

And Stella looked stunning in our vintage deco tassel earrings and complementary vintage necklace:

Her beach wedding was at Castle Mugdock and they even raised the pirate flag!  Love the combination of glamour and adventure!

From a plantation to a castle, congratulations to two beautiful Charleston brides!
